Two Winter Haven convenience store sales clerks were arrested by the Polk County Sheriff's Office this month for selling alcohol to minors during PCSO's ongoing 'Operation Pop Top' campaign in Central Florida, in which deputies visit convenience stores to ensure they are not selling alcoholic beverages to anyone under the age of 21. A 50-year-old clerk at the Inwood Discount Beverage store located at 3317 Avenue G NW, was charged with selling alcohol to a minor (a misdemeanor). He was caught selling a 25-ounce Natural Light beer to a 17-year old who is a member of the PCSO's Explorers, a program for high school students who are interested in a career in law enforcement.
